Sheridan is excited to host Dr. Barbara Roberts for an interactive session with faculty and staff entitled “Academic Accommodations: Everything You Want to Know But Are Afraid to Ask.”

- Time: Light refreshments will be served at 9 a.m. The session will run from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
While the focus will be on health programs, all faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
Dr. Roberts is the Executive Director of the WorkLife Office and Senior Advisor to the Provost at Michigan State University (MSU), where she also holds an adjunct faculty appointment in the College of Education. Dr. Roberts has been a licensed occupational therapist and served as disability advisor at Queen’s University for over 19 years, in employment and educational accommodation, and adult mental health. She has a B.A.Hons. (Queen’s University at Kingston), and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (Boston University). Her PhD in Education (Queen’s University) used the Canadian legal test questions of discrimination to identify bona fide academic requirements (BFARs) in clinical education.
