Join the Sheridan Student Union leaders, TRC Sheridan Pride Club and Sheridan’s Positive Space Committee for Trans Day of Remembrance. This annual Day of Remembrance recognizes those we have lost to anti-transgender violence in the past year.
Many trans people are killed due to anti-transgender violence, and many more die because of the barriers and attitudes they face as trans people. It is important that we remember them while acknowledging they do not deserve to be erased or dismissed and that they deserved better than the actions and attitudes that led to their deaths. These conditions cannot stand.
This event is a time for reflection, as well as a call to action.
