The first of three containers carrying furniture donations from Sheridan has arrived in Sierra Leone!
During Sheridan’s Winter Office Cleanup that took place last December, dozens of furniture pieces and office supplies were collected. Some of the collected items were recycled on campus, while other items were donated to various charity organizations. One of these organizations included CanSerra Group Thunder Bay, which ships classroom items to schools in Sierra Leone.

The community was thrilled to receive the donations from Sheridan, which included desks, tables and chairs.
“Thank you to the Sheridan community for stepping in at the right time,” says Bassie Kargbo, Director, CanSerra Group Thunder Bay. “The items we received from the College have been a source of inspiration and new hope for many in Sierra Leone.”
The other two containers of donated items are expected to arrive later in March.
