On February 26, Sheridan’s Gabriela Facchini, Manager of International Business Development for Latin American and Europe, was honoured for her outstanding contributions to Languages Canada (LC) and international education. She was honoured at the closing gala of the organization’s annual conference, which was held at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg.
Gabriela has served on the Languages Canada board for five years, and most recently as co-chair of the International Affairs committee. She has held leadership roles in the English as a Second Language (ESL) industry in both the private and public sectors for 29 years.
Anthony Still, Vice President of Languages Canada thanked her on behalf of the LC Board and the executive team for her outstanding contribution to the community. The gala was attended by LC members from across Canada and around the world, as well as the Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine and Canadian trade commissioners for China, Poland, Ukraine and Mexico.
