On Monday, March 31, business educators and guidance counselors participated in Creativity to the Next Degree at HMC. The event included a wine and cheese reception followed by an interactive presentation facilitated by Jeremy Staples, Associate Dean of Business. The building of marshmallow/spaghetti towers was an excellent introduction to a discussion regarding creative problem-solving. Our guests were engaged while learning why creativity will be a critical skill that employers will require in the 21st century. Also explored was the need for students to unlock their creative capacity to manage change, anticipate uncertainty and relish ambiguity.
