At the recent Canada India Foundation’s Gala held on April 26, 2014 at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, N.R. Narayana Murthy, founder and executive chairman of India’s IT company Infosys, was presented with the CIF Chanchlani Global Indian Award for outstanding global business achievement. The award was presented by Canada’s Minister of Finance, the Hon. Joe Oliver.
On hand to celebrate Murthy’s award was Sheridan President and CEO Jeff Zabudsky, Board of Governors Chair Bryan Dawson, FHSS Dean Hasan Malik and Senior Manager, Development, Joe Saundercook.
The Canada India Foundation, a non-profit organization promoting stronger ties between Canada and India, was co-founded by Vasdev (Vasu) Chanchlani. Mr. Chanchlani is an entrepreneur and philanthropist, supporting projects which have a transformational impact.
