We’re excited to announce the upcoming Sheridan Hackathon event!
Saturday June 7 – Sunday June 8, 2014
J-Wing, 3rd Floor of the Learning Commons
Davis Campus
Theme: Empowering our Community
The Sheridan Hackathon is intended to encourage creativity, innovation, and cross-program collaboration within the Sheridan student body through the creation of gutsy, inspired, and real-world applications. Participants will have the opportunity to network with their peers, learn from the expertise of both computing and business faculty, and pitch their ideas to industry and college partners. Prizes will be awarded to the team that creates the best app. In order to be successful, participants will need to demonstrate creativity, as well as advanced programming, organization, teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills. Winning applications must demonstrate an aspect of social responsibility.
Any Sheridan student, from any program, with a creative idea for an application is encouraged to participate. Participants may add the event to the Co-Curricular Record.
Staff and faculty who are interested in contributing to the success of the event should contact Christina Spadafora.
