It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved faculty member, Milan Yankovich, on Friday, August 8 after a long battle with cancer.

Milan was a graduate of Sheridan’s Interior Design program and taught at Sheridan for over 15 years. Milan played a huge role in shaping the lives of so many of our students in the Interior Decorating, Interior Design, and Visual Merchandising Arts programs. He exuded great joy in his creative expression, his spirituality and in the simple pleasures of life. He was passionate about teaching and nurturing his students. His lectures were devoted to inspiring creativity and to teaching life lessons not found in any textbook. His dedication to his students, the programs in which he taught and Sheridan College saw him teaching through to the end of this past school year. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a celebration of Milan’s life on Tuesday, August 19 at 11 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 1150 Monks Passage in Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully appreciated to Ian Anderson House, PO Box 61034, 511 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville L6J 5P5 or to The Rosary Apostolate Inc., ℅ St. Matthew Church, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville, L6M 1M2. www.ianandersonhouse.com/donate.html

Sincerely,

Heather Whitton, Associate Dean

Donna Armstrong, Program Coordinator, Interior Decorating
