The Faculty of Applied Science and Technology (FAST) and Sheridan Undergraduate Research (SURe) would like to congratulate Kenneth Faria, recent Mechanical Engineering Technology grad, on his win for “Best Overall” demonstration at Hatch’s Summer Student showcase. The showcase involved students from top schools across Canada, with most coming from universities. An avid member of FAST’s student applied research team at the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies, Kenneth worked closely with mentors Dr. Shaun Ghafari and Dr. Farzad Rayegani on a series of mechanical design projects and research partnerships with local small businesses that led to his summer internship at Hatch. Kenneth’s experience through the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering & Technology at FAST speaks to Sheridan’s commitment to an integrated engineering curriculum based on the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) framework, an essential platform that creates ongoing learning opportunities between industry, faculty, and students.
FAST and SURe wish Kenneth the very best as he continues to advance his education and professional experience in mechanical engineering!
