A Sheridan delegation delivered pre-departure orientation sessions in August to groups of Chinese students in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Presentations included ‘Welcome to Sheridan’ – Ian Marley, VP, Student Affairs & Enrolment Management; ‘Getting Started’ – Yan Wu, Manager, International Business Development; ‘Learning at Sheridan’ – John Iveson, ESL Professor, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; ‘Student Services’ – Joe Henry, Associate Dean, Student Success; and ‘Sheridan International’ – Tony Vadakkanchery, International Student Coordinator.
The events provided wonderful opportunities to prepare students before arrival in Canada for their Sheridan learning experience and to address individual student questions. Sheridan’s delegates also made visits to universities and a college in Shenzhen with a view to establishing successful future educational partnerships in a range of Faculty areas.
