The 2nd Annual Spin & Sing, chaired by Steven Parfeniuk, Vice President, Finance and Administration, is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at our Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. Spin & Sing is a three-hour Spin ‘A’ Thon in support of the Canadian Musical Theatre Project Festival of New Musicals.
In 2011, the Canadian Music Theatre Project (CMTP) was launched at Sheridan as Canada’s first incubator for the development of new works by Canadian and international composers, lyricists and book writers.
Get your colleagues together and put in a three man team each taking a one hour leg or go solo. Spinners are required to raise a minimum of $100 in donations per hour on the bike. We know that sounds challenging. However, you will be surprised at how quickly the donations add up once you put your heart, creativity, and enthusiasm into the effort.
Individuals and teams are invited to participate in this three hour event that will mimic a 20, 40 or 60 km ride with hills, sprints, base-build portions and recovery segments. Maintain your level of fitness or kick-off your fitness plan while supporting our Canadian Musical Theatre Project Festival of New Musicals. Our fantastic music theatre performance students, videos screen and dynamic instructors will make the 3 hours of spinning go by like…well…three hours of spinning, but it will be tons of fun.
Great theatre cannot be done without the involvement of many people from those working behind the scenes to the ensemble cast, from leading roles to the mega star and you. It is people like you that make it possible for Sheridan to provide the unique Theatre Sheridan experience to our students and our community.
Theatre Sheridan’s 40 year history has always focused on creating an enriched learning environment for our students and on pushing the boundaries of music theatre both on and off the stage. We would like to invite you to support Theatre Sheridan as it continues to change the landscape of Canadian Music Theatre through initiatives such as the Canadian Music Theatre Project Festival of New Musicals.
By sponsoring a spinner or participating in the 2nd Annual Spin & Sing you will make a direct an invaluable investment to the Canadian Music Theatre Project Festival of New Musicals which will support our students through program activity and will help maintain our music theatre performance program as one of the best in the world.
Won’t you help make this happen?
