Do you wish you had textbooks with images with which your students could interact? Do you have quizzes that you wish your students could do while they read their textbook? Do you wish your students could electronically capture their notes as they read? Are there games and apps you that you wish your students could use in class? Do you wish you had audio and video tools to capture and generate media in the classroom? Do you ever record your students’ presentations, role-plays, or speaking and listening activities? Do you ever have students create podcasts, videos, or eBooks together?
The Centre for Teaching and Learning has an iPad cart with 40 iPads available for use in the Davis collaboration classroom (C322). We would like to partner with those interested in conducting research on the use of iPads in teaching and learning. We can offer an instructional design consult, technology support, peer coaching, and team teaching around your idea for using the iPads.
To propose an iPad research project, contact Michael Evans (michael.evans3@sheridancollege.ca), Associate Dean, Digital Learning and Innovation.
