Parking permits will be available beginning Monday, August 19th, at which time parking permit forms will be available from the security desks at Trafalgar, Davis and the Skills Training Centre campuses. The cost for an annual parking permit at all campuses is $450.
We are pleased to announce that staff at the Hazel McCallion Campus wishing to purchase an annual City of Mississauga/Sheridan permit will now be part of the payroll deduction process (rather than having to purchase an annual permit up-front through the City of Mississauga as was done in previous years). Payroll deduction will be facilitated by Sheridan College. Other City of Mississauga/Sheridan permit types (one semester, two semester and multi-visit cards) must be purchased directly at the Civic Centre’s Cashier’s Counter as in the past.
NEW – Preferred Parking
Sheridan is also introducing a preferred parking permit for an annual cost of $550. As Sheridan does not own the lot at HMC, preferred parking permits will only be available at Trafalgar, Davis and STC. The preferred parking permit will enable an individual to park in the designated area of one parking lot of their choosing at their base campus only. When visiting a different Sheridan campus, the preferred parking permit will enable an employee to use the regular staff parking lot or other general lots, as with a regular annual permit. Please refer to the attached maps to view the new preferred parking areas.
In order to be equitable to vacationing faculty and staff, employees will have until August 29th to express interest in preferred parking. The August 26th edition of the Sheridan Insider will include an ‘Expression of Interest’ survey that will require employees wanting to purchase a preferred parking permit to indicate their first and second parking lot choices by end of day, Thursday, August 29th. No more than 10% of the total parking spaces at Sheridan’s campuses will be designated as preferred spaces. If the demand for a particular lot exceeds the number of preferred spaces available, a lottery will be held to allocate spaces. Notification and processing of preferred parking permits will occur the week of September 2nd.
Parking will be COMPLIMENTARY at Trafalgar, Davis and the Skills Training Centre campuses September 3rd – 6th inclusive, and after 3 pm from September 9th – 13th.
