“Take Your Kids to Work” day is an annual, nationwide program that helps Grade 9 students develop an appreciation for their parents’ careers, start exploring career options and gain a better understanding of many available career choices. The goal of this program is to give insight into the importance of schools and businesses to promote and support continuous learning and successful transitions into the working world for young people.
The college has planned an interactive morning of events at our Davis campus with activities and learning opportunities for the annual “Take Your Kids to Work Day” on Wednesday November 5, 2014. The day will include several activities including a career workshop and a tour of the Davis campus. For the second half of their day the grade 9 students will return to their parent’s regular workplace and job shadow their parents for the remainder of the day.
If you are an employee with a child in grade 9 and would like to register your child to attend the half-day session at Davis on November 5, 2014, please take a few moments to complete the registration survey by Friday October 24, 2014.
