Sheridan’s 2014 United Way campaign is set to kick off on Monday, Nov. 17. This year, Sheridan has set an ambitious goal to raise $70,000 and we need your support to make this happen.
There are many ways to get involved during the campaign:
- PLEDGING: You can make a one-time pledge or a payroll-deduction pledge online, or download and print out a paper pledge form. Please note that payroll deduction pledges made during last year’s campaign do not carry over to this year’s campaign. You will need to fill out a new payroll pledge. - TOONIE TUESDAY: Bring your change and drop it off on campus to Toonie Tuesday United Way volunteers on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
- SPAGHETTI LUNCHES: Take part in one of the Spaghetti Lunch events taking place during the week of Nov. 17 at each campus. A minimum donation of only $5 will get you a plate of spaghetti with vegetable or meat sauce, garlic bread, salad and a small drink. A big thanks to Chartwells for providing the delicious food for these events.
- CINNAMON BUN BREAKFAST: Purchase a cinnamon bun and hot beverage on campus on Tuesday, Nov. 25 for a minimum donation of $3! Chef Kal is preparing a delicious cinnamon bun recipe for this event, which is co-sponsored by OPSEU Locals 244 and 245.
- SILENT AUCTION: Participate in the Sheridan United Way Silent Auction starting on Friday, Nov. 21 and ending at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 26. There are many great prizes to be won this year including hockey tickets, culinary experiences and glass art.
We are looking for volunteers to help serve food at one of the lunch or breakfast events. Please email unitedway@sheridancollege.ca if you are able to donate an hour or two of your time.
All donations from all of Sheridan’s campaign events are in support of United Way and the important initiatives that the organization does to enrich the communities in which we live and work.
