Sheridan Community Employment Services invites you to make a lasting difference in the life of a newcomer by becoming a Mentor through the Mentoring Partnership. Mentors share industry knowledge and experience to help an experienced and job-ready immigrant find meaningful employment in Canada.
The program works with participants from a range of professions. Currently, the strongest demand is for Mentors with experience in the following careers:
Post-Secondary Teaching
Accounting
Marketing and Sales
Purchasing
Mentors typically meet with their mentee once a week over a four month period. Hours are flexible and meetings can be in person, on-line or over the phone.
