The Faculty of Applied Science and Technology and Sheridan Undergraduate Research would like to congratulate our student and faculty team at the 2014 Polytechnics Canada Student Applied Research Showcase! Applied Computing students Ricardo Chavez and Chirstopher Romanyk placed third out of 11 student teams with their project, the Sheridan Family Channel. The goal of the project is to provide a simple, familiar way for older adults to view content shared by their family members with them on social media – through a special crawler that displays selected content on their TV. The showcase took place Friday, November 14.
