As you may have heard, Sheridan’s Learning Management System (LMS) SLATE1 will be retiring on August 25, 2013. We are pleased to advise that the mandatory employee training modules have now migrated to SLATE2 – the Desire2Learn LMS platform. Beginning August 26, 2013, all employees will be able to log in to SLATE2 and see both WHMIS (PD4120) and AODA Customer Service (PD4010) offerings in their course list. You will remain enrolled in these courses once you have completed them should you have a future need to access the course information.
Although the courses have migrated to the new SLATE LMS, your grades in the course assessments have not. Rest assured, however, if you successfully completed the AODA Customer Service and WHMIS courses in SLATE1, your training status is preserved in your PeopleSoft employee training record. Please review the Employee Self Service document to assist you in navigating your way through Access Sheridan to review your personal training record status and ensure you have successfully completed the training. If you have not, you are required to complete both of these courses.
