Did you know that Accessible Learning provides services and supports for students with disabilities? They develop and implement appropriate accommodations for students with recognized documented disabilities. The Accessible Learning Advisors will help promote students’ self-advocacy in communicating their needs to faculty.
Accommodation plans and services are personalized to parallel with the disability-related needs of each student and are based on the documentation delivered and program specific requirements. Accessible Learning makes every effort to nurture a college philosophy that is sensitive and receptive to the requirements of students. Emphasis is positioned on students’ ability and independence to empower them to recognize their academic potential and personal accountability.
If you are unsure of how to deal with a specific situation or would like advice on designing appropriate instructional strategies, Accessible Learning Advisors are available to provide consultation.
