Members of the Sheridan community at Trafalgar Campus may be aware that, last winter, the Town of Oakville removed a large section of dead and dying trees destroyed by Emerald Ash Borer, in the park adjacent to the campus.  On September 25, National Tree Day, the Town is inviting community volunteers to plant 500 trees in the park to help regenerate the woodlot.  The event will take place from 3 – 6 pm, and interested volunteers are invited to sign up at camopyclub@oakville.ca by September 16.  For more information, click here.

On a related note, the Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design is launching a special project aimed at fostering a new appreciation for our campus green space and specifically, the streams that meander through the property.  This project, called Livestreaming, will launch next spring.  More details are available here.
