There is significant data to suggest that the mathematics skills of students entering college programs across the province of Ontario are lacking, putting almost one-third of students at risk of failing in their program mathematics courses. Sheridan College works very hard to support the success of our students so with that as our focus, you are invited to attend this inaugural meeting of the Mathematics Community of Practice. By engaging with others in conversations about mathematics, a strong mathematics community can be built within Sheridan and beyond.
