Sheridan is pleased to participate in the provincial Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Student Satisfaction Survey, which will be administered during regular classes from February 1 – 12, 2016. All faculty members involved in this survey will be contacted by their respective Faculty administrative offices with further information.
This survey asks a series of questions to determine how satisfied students are with their program of study, the college services, and the overall learning environment. It is not an evaluation of any specific course, subject or teacher.
All information gathered through this survey will remain completely confidential in every respect. Completed surveys are sent to an independent consultant hired by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Only the cumulative results of all completed surveys are made available.
The KPI Student Satisfaction Survey is one of five Key Performance Indicators used by the provincial government to measure college performance. The other four are graduate satisfaction, graduate employment, employer satisfaction, and graduation rate. Graduate employment, graduate satisfaction and employer satisfaction KPIs are used by the ministry to distribute performance funding to colleges.
While the student satisfaction survey is not currently used in determining performance-based funding, the survey is an important tool for measuring how well Ontario colleges meet the needs of students and the marketplace.
