Black History Month Kick Off Celebration to showcase Sheridan student work

The Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton, in partnership with the Oakville Museum, will be hosting its annual Black History Month Kick Off Celebration at the Oakville Town Hall this coming Wednesday, February 3rd. Free of charge and open to the community, this evening will feature music performances as well as exhibitions by the Oakville Museum and by the Association of African Canadian Artists. This event will also feature a poster presentation exhibit by Sheridan students enrolled in the General Education elective, Canada in the Making: Understanding Canadian History, as well as an exhibition of creative works by students from the Breadth elective, Anthropology of Music.

We hope you can join us this Wednesday for a lively evening of music and dialogue at the Oakville Town Hall as our students’ outstanding works contribute to this community celebration of Black History Month!
