The winter coat drive initiated by the International Centre in collaboration with the Sheridan International Student Association saw enthusiastic participation from the Sheridan community!
Students, faculty and staff were informed of the drive through emails, posters, sign boards and word-of-mouth. A large number of Sheridan students benefitted from the coat drive as all sorts of winter gear was collected: from coats to gloves, hats, and even boots!
The coat drive collection and distribution ran from December to early February. Over 48 coats and 41 miscellaneous winter items were distributed to domestic and international students. The majority of the students assisted were first year international students.
The feedback from students and faculty has been motivating and encouraging. We hope to continue our efforts in meeting student needs and enriching the student experience on campus.
The International Centre thanks our SISA volunteers Tram and Anika for leading the coat drive and everyone who joined hands in spreading warmth this winter!
