We are excited to announce the launch of the first iteration of the IT Service Catalogue—a detailed listing of the technology-related services available to Sheridan students and staff. The catalogue details who is eligible for each service, how services are requested or provisioned, and also includes links to how-to guides and other relevant resources. The Service Catalogue is featured prominently on our freshly updated IT website.
Updated IT Website & System Status Dashboard
The IT home page now also features a System Status Dashboard, allowing users to see at a glance the status and availability of the IT systems that impact them the most, including:
- Student Email
- Employee Email
- The Sheridan Network
- Internet Connectivity
- Printing
Other services will be added to the dashboard in the future.

Troubleshooting Display Issues
A few users have encountered display issues when accessing the new web page. These issues are easily overcome and are typically related to either browser caching or ‘compatibility view’ in Internet Explorer.
Fixing Caching Issues
Display issues related to the caching of old data is easily fixed by forcing your browser to refresh/reload the page.
- For Mac users, typing command + R will reload the page in your browser
- For Windows users, typing shift + F5 will force the page to reload
Disabling Compatibility View in Internet Explorer
If you are an IE user and encountering display issues (despite reloading the page), ‘Compatibility View’ is the likely culprit.
- Go to your IE settings and select Compatibility View Settings
- Make sure Display intranet sites in Compatibility View is UNCHECKED
- Reload the page and you should be good to go.
