Further to our recent effort of removing buckthorn from the Trafalgar campus, the Office for Sustainability is offering a Lunch ‘n Learn session for the Sheridan members to learn about how to identity common invasive plants on campus and take action for it.
Early Detection & Rapid Response is critical in stopping new invasive species from becoming established. Our ability to stop the next Emerald ash borer, Phragmites, or dog-strangling vine relies on our ability to recognize and report new invasive species when they first establish in a new area. Please join us for this one-hour lunch ‘n learn where the Ontario Invasive Plant Council will show you how to spot invasive species in and around the Sheridan Campus.
