Sheridan will be marking the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on Friday, December 6th.
Events:
Davis Campus, Ceremony, 10:30am – 10:50am Welcome Centre, First Floor Atrium (Please note that a new Peace Garden (see photo below) has been installed on the back lawn with an installation commemorating the 14 women killed on December 6, 1989. Following remarks indoors, attendees will proceed to the Peace Garden to lay roses in their memory).
Trafalgar Campus, Ceremony, 2:3opm – 2:50pm SCAET Lobby
STC and Hazel McCallion campuses will each have a memorial area to mark this day of remembrance.
Please come out to commemorate the 14 young women who were murdered at L’Ecole Polytechnique in 1989. Help us get the word out to our students.
For those attending the Trafalgar and Davis Campus ceremonies, please remember to bring your coats for the outdoor portion of the event.
