I am pleased to share with you the following staffing updates for the Alumni and Annual Giving team.
Denise Lach, Manager, Awards & Annual Giving is assuming the role of Manager, Alumni for the next year during Jennifer Clarke’s maternity leave. To replace Denise, Jane Leaver, Awards & Annual Giving Officer, is assuming the role of Manager, Awards & Annual Giving. We wish Denise and Jane luck in their new roles.
Carey Dunn has accepted a one-year term to replace Jane in the role of Awards & Annual Giving Officer. Carey holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen’s University and has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College. Carey spent several years with the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Canadian Cancer Society leading and coordinating a wide variety of fundraising programs and special events. Recently Carey worked at Trillium Health Partners Foundation as a Senior Development Officer for their Annual Giving and Leadership gifts teams.
Carol Hill, Editor, Alumni, retired from Sheridan this month after a 15-year career sharing the news and success of our talented alumni. We wish Carol well as she begins the next chapter in her life.
Jill Scarrow has assumed the role of Editor, Alumni. She will be writing and editing the Ovation magazine, the monthly alumni e-newsletter and alumni profiles. Before joining Sheridan, Jill was a freelance writer. Her work was published in several health-care publications and the Toronto Star. She also spent seven years as a writer and editor for Registered Nurse Journal, the bimonthly publication produced by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario. Jill holds a journalism degree from Western University.
