Tech Talks are monthly topical conversations presented by Digital Learning and Innovation in the Centre of Teaching and Learning designed to help make your courses more dynamic, interactive and engaging. Come and join us for this month’s one hour long faculty get-together on the campus of your choice. Bring your lunch!
Wondering how to record a screencast? A screencast is a digital recording of what’s on your computer screen. It’s easy with some knowledge of some simple software packages. The knowledge of do’s and dont’s in a screencast makes it an effective tool to be used in your flipped course. You will learn to make screencasts from your PowerPoint, Excel worksheet or any other software that you use. You will learn to make effective tutorials, video lessons and presentations. You will also learn how to add interactivity in your recorded videos. We will also show you easy ways to add close captioning and narration to your recorded videos. All Tech Talks are available to faculty and staff. To attend a Tech Talk, please register on PD Place.
