Orientation – Winter 2017

Orientation for new students will take place between January 4^th and January 6^th, 2017, at all campuses. For important campus-specific details, please see below.

Davis

For students on-campus with questions, please refer them to the Student Services Centre in room B230 or they can email the team at: orientation@sheridancollege.ca.

• Parking
  • Lot 3 is available and is complementary during Orientation.
  • Parking permits should be first ordered Online at sheridancollege.ca. When ready, permits can be picked-up at the parking office, which is located at B237.
• Event Information Booths – These are located:
  • 1^st Floor of H-Wing directly across from the Athletic Therapy Clinic;
  • 2^nd Floor B-Wing beside the Registration Desk.
• Program Specific Academic Orientation Sessions – Will take place:
  • 10:30AM-12:00PM and 2:30PM-4:00PM;
  • Room locations vary so please refer students to B230 or one of the Information Booths.
• Family & Friends Information Sessions – Will take place:
  • 10:30AM-11:30AM and 2:30PM-3:30PM at The Den.
• Lunch/Marketplace – Will be provided for Orientation participants in the cafeteria from 12:00PM-1:00PM.
• Onecard Pick Up – Around the corner from room C205.
• Student Handbook– Will be available at the Marketplace or the Student Union office, at the Student Centre, room SC 200.
• Locker Registration – Lockers are rented and paid for in advance, online, at sheridancollege.ca. After payment, lockers must be registered with Security at room B237.
• Laptop Readiness Session — For those programs that require it, laptop readiness sessions will take place on January 4^th from 11:00AM-6:00PM in rooms M3, M4, M5, and M6. For details, check the schedule at sheridancollege.ca/mobile.
• Language Assessment Opportunity – Will take place on January 4^th at 1:00PM, in rooms C326 and C328.
• International Open House — Will take place on January 4^th from 10:00AM- 4:00PM, in room B212a.

HMC

For students on-campus with questions, please refer them to the Centre for Student Success in room A247 or they can email the team at: orientation@sheridancollege.ca.

• Parking
  • Paid parking (at the City lots on the west side of the campus buildings) will be in effect at HMC. Students who have purchased and received a hangtag permit can park at the Theatre Lot which is located on the West side of the Cineplex Movie Theatre.
  • Parking permits should be first ordered online at sheridancollege.ca. When ready, permits can be picked-up at the parking office, which is located at the Security Desk (A-Wing Atrium).
• Family & Friends Information Sessions – Will take place:
  • 9:30AM-10:30AM in the Media Room (A165).
• Lunch/Marketplace – Will be provided for Orientation participants in the cafeteria from 12:00PM-1:00PM.
• Onecard Pick Up – At the Onecard office, room A160.
• Student Handbook– Student Union will distribute during Orientation sessions.

• Event Information Booths – These are located:
  • B-Wing directly across from the Bookstore.
• Program Specific Academic Orientation Sessions – Will take place:
  • 10:30AM-12:00PM;
  • Room locations vary, please refer students to B104 or the Information Booth.
• Family & Friends Information Sessions – Will take place:
  • 10:30AM-11:30AM at The Marquee.
• Lunch/Marketplace – Will be provided for Orientation participants in the cafeteria from 12:00PM-1:00PM.
• Onecard Pick Up – Will be in the SCAET Building.
• Student Handbook– Will be available from the Student Union offices, at the Student Centre, room SC 200.
• Locker Registration – Lockers are rented and paid for in advance, online, at sheridancollege.ca. After payment, lockers must be registered with Security at room B131.
• Laptop Readiness Session — For those programs that require it, laptop readiness sessions will take place on January 6^th from 11:00AM-2:00PM in rooms E103, E104 and E106. For details, check the schedule at sheridancollege.ca/mobile.
• Language Assessment Opportunity – Will take place on January 6^th at 1:00PM, in room B125.
• International Open House — Will take place on January 6^th from 10:00AM- 3:00PM, in room B301.

Skills Training Centre (STC)

For students on-campus with questions, please refer them to the Student Services Centre at the Trafalgar campus, room B104 or they can email the team at: orientation@sheridancollege.ca.

  • The STC parking lot is available and is complementary during Orientation.
  • Parking permits should be first ordered online at epark.sheridancollege.ca. When ready, permits can be picked-up at the parking office at Trafalgar campus, which is located in the basement level at BB19.
• Lunch – Will be provided for Orientation participants in room A16 at 1.00PM.
• Program Specific Academic Orientation Sessions – Will take place:
  • Between 2:30PM-4:00PM, room locations will vary.
• Onecard Pick Up – Will be in room A1. Please note that students must have previously uploaded their photo in order to obtain their Onecard. Students who have not uploaded their photo will need to contact the Onecard office.
• Student Handbook  – Will be available for pick-up in room A16 during Orientation.
