After thirteen years at Sheridan, Professor Giuliana Colalillo retired at the end of December 2016. Giuliana came to Sheridan in 2003, from TV Ontario, as the College’s first Professor of Learning Design. In this role she supported countless faculty members in designing effective and pedagogically–sound online learning courses and modules. After a number of years in this capacity, Giuliana joined the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as a Professor of Psychology (her disciplinary expertise) and taught across General Education, Breadth and the General Arts and Science program. The Faculty thanks Giuliana for her dedication and commitment to both Sheridan, as a whole, and her students and FHASS colleagues. At a small gathering, before the holiday closure, we celebrated Giuliana’s accomplishments and contributions to the Faculty. Giuliana expressed her intention for retirement was not to “remain idle” but, rather, to further pursue her passions of research, writing, travel and gardening. We wish Giuliana all the best in this next journey!
