A big thank you to everyone who supported our Toy Drives, Food Bank Drives, and Mitten Trees this past December! Here are just some of the ways which our Sheridan community generously participated in the season of giving:
Together, the Trafalgar, Davis, STC and HMC Campuses collected 110 pairs of mittens and gloves, 33 hats, 11 scarves, a pair of socks and a winter coat through the Mitten Trees at each campus. The Davis and HMC donations will go to the Family Resource Centre of the Salvation Army in Davis, while the Trafalgar and STC donations will go to the Kerr Street Ministries in Oakville.
The Sheridan community also supported the Sheridan Student Union Emergency Food resource. This important food bank will continue to need our support during the year – learn more here.
The Faculty of Applied Science and Technology and the Sheridan Engineering Club collected a variety of toys at the Davis Campus, which filled up the FAST electric car! See photo below.
The Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design ran a toy drive in partnership with Sheridan at the Trafalgar Campus. The many toys they collected were picked up by the Oakville Professional Firefighters association, and will be donated to a variety of community agencies in Oakville. See photo below.
The School of Applied Chemical & Environmental Sciences within FAST raised $670 in grocery store gift cards through their Annual Holiday Potluck for the SSU Emergency Food Resource at Davis.

Terry Davison ( Associate Dean, Applied Chemical and Environmental Sciences) presents an envelope to Azhar Ahmed-Ali (Executive Vice-President of the Student Union-Davis Campus) with the gift cards totalling $670.00.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning raised over $900 through candygrams, samosas and bake sales for the SSU Emergency Food Resource.
