It is with mixed feelings that I announce Paul Toms’ retirement on June 30 after a long and successful career at Sheridan. Please join the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology in celebrating Paul’s contributions to students in the Atrium by the Library at the Trafalgar campus on June 25, between 4 pm – 6 pm.
Paul has served at Sheridan for 22 years and has had countless leadership roles both in the School of Applied Computing and across the college. Early in his career here, Paul was instrumental in the development of the original Enterprise Database Management Graduate Certificate. He has been a tireless advocate of excellence in teaching and learning through his unique blend of wit and humour. Over time, Paul has held roles such as Program Coordinator, Academic Advisor, Peer Coach, Curriculum Coach, Student Orientation Presenter, and served on almost every committee or council known to Sheridan. Moreover, Paul has always been recognized for his love of music, soccer and warm friendship. Paul’s commitment to Sheridan is legendary, but behind his efforts lay his overarching dedication to our students’ success. His leadership and affable personality will be deeply missed. Please join our Faculty in wishing Paul well as he enters this new, and no doubt interesting, stage of his life.

Associate Dean, Faculty of Applied Science and Technology
