Last Wednesday, January 25th, Dr. Mary Preece hosted a special recognition event in honour of all the Sheridan staff members involved in the expansion of HMC and the delay contingency plans.
Employees from Scheduling, Facilities, IT, Events, Security, Human Resources, the Office of Legal Counsel, the academic Faculties, Student Services, the Office of the Registrar and more gathered in the new senate room in HMC B-wing and enjoyed some refreshments and music.
In her remarks, Mary thanked everyone involved for rising to the challenge of a very difficult situation, and responding with tremendous effort, professionalism and grace. She also took a moment to recognize Pitsa Davey, HMC’s project manager, for her tireless work.
All members of the building construction and contingency team will receive a special framed certificate of recognition.
