The Employee Technology Policy has been updated effective May 1, 2017. The policy standardizes eligibility for technological devices provided by Sheridan for its employees and sets out the parameters for use of personally owned technological devices for Sheridan business purposes.
The most significant changes:
- Sect 4.8 – Sheridan will pay for provided devices when they are damaged or lost.
- Stipend is now defined for those eligible for a Sheridan provided cellular phone but wish to use their own phone. Procedure shows the rates at $5.65 (phone only) or $45.00 (phone and data) including taxes.
- Sect 4.5 – a Sheridan provided cellular phone is by owned by Sheridan until it is replaced or the employee’s employment ends—at which time it becomes the employee’s property (it must first undergo removal of Sheridan Records).
- Sect 4.12 – Clarified access to devices for investigations
Employees, who currently have a Sheridan provided cellular phone, will receive an email later this month with additional information.
