In May and June, Sheridan was presented with four awards for excellence in Issues Management/Crisis Communication and one award for excellence in Marketing Communications by organizations throughout North America.
For the handling of the delay of HMC’s new building Sheridan received a(n):
- Gold Prix D’Excellence from the Canadian Council for Advancement in Education (CCAE) in Issues Management. CCAE’s Prix D’Excellence program is open to universities, colleges, polytechnics, institutions, independent schools and cégeps across Canada.
- Silver Award of Excellence from the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) in Issues Management. CPRS’ Awards of Excellence are open to public, private and non-profit organizations across Canada.
- Bronze Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in Issues and Crisis Management. CASE’s Circle of Excellence Awards program is open to educational institutions and advancement professionals across North America.
- Award of Merit – Ovation from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Toronto in Issues Management and Crisis Communication. IABC Toronto’s Ovation awards program is open to public, private and non-profit organizations in the Greater Toronto Area.
For our efforts surrounding the celebration of Sheridan’s connection to Come From Away, Sheridan received an:
- Silver – Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in Media Relations Programs & Projects. CASE’s Circle of Excellence Awards program is open to educational institutions and advancement professionals across North America.
- Award of Merit – Ovation from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Toronto in Marketing Communications.
These honours are the result of the work of many individuals in departments and Faculties across Sheridan who contributed to the successful planning and execution of tactics.
