Please join me in bidding farewell to Ailsa Goncalves who will be leaving Sheridan as of Friday September 22nd as she and her family relocate to Trent Lakes. Ailsa joined Sheridan in 2007 as the Assistant to the Dean, Centre for Teaching and Learning and then moved into the role of Assistant to the Vice Provost where she supported a number of Sheridan committees and projects. In February, she assumed the role of Project Manager, School-College-Work-Initiative (SCWI) where she worked collaboratively across campuses to implement several new processes to support the SCWI Program.
We will miss Ailsa immensely and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
I am excited to welcome Jacqueline Smith who will be assuming the role of Project Manager, School-College-Work-Initiative Program on Monday, September 25, 2017.
Jacqueline has over ten years of experience working in a post-secondary environment and joined Sheridan’s Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, School of Applied Computing in 2013. She is currently completing her MEd in Administration and Leadership in Education at Brock University where her research includes equity, inclusion and promoting post-secondary school engagement strategies. With a deep commitment to championing pathways for post-secondary education, she will play a key role in working with internal and community stakeholders to support the mandate of the SCWI Program. Jacqueline is student–focused and has gained valuable experience that will be crucial to continuing the success of this program. Jacqueline will benefit from the support of Dual Credit Coordinators Irene Farjou-Holford and Gloria Sheffar, who are the additional contacts for SCWI.
