We are pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Simon Heathcote will assume the role of the Laboratory Manager in the School of Mechanical and Electrical Technology’s (Faculty of Applied Science and Technology) at the Davis campus.
Simon has over 30 years of industrial experience with expertise in a wide range of industrial applications, including CNC machining, tool and die and the design and building of automated machinery.
In 2002, Simon started his own machine shop provided tooling, gauges and small automation to many tier one automotive suppliers and other industries. Simon began teaching at Sheridan, on a part time basis, in 2009, and in 2012, he sold his business to become a full time Advanced Manufacturing Technologist at the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies (CAMDT).
