Kevin Tuerff was one of nearly 7,000 people stranded in Gander, Newfoundland in the days following 9/11. He was heading home from Paris when the attacks happened and was left stranded in Gander for nearly a week. His story became the inspiration for the character named Kevin T. in Come From Away, and he made his first visit to Sheridan in 2013 to see Theatre Sheridan’s original production of the musical.
Kevin is making his second visit to Sheridan on Friday, October 13 to attend the CMTP’s 2017 Festival of New Musicals and to share stories from his time in Gander that he captured in his new book, Channel of Peace: Stranded in Gander on 9/11. Books will be available to purchase at the event and Kevin will remain after the presentation to sign books.
