Congratulations to Sheridan 2nd Year Journalism Students on their recent win at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA).
Established in 2009, the COPAs are recognized as the premier Digital Publishing Awards Program in Canada because of their neutrality. Consolidating both traditional and new media brands in one competition, the awards bring together producers and companies who create online content to showcase the talent within the Canadian publishing industry. Entries are reviewed by a prestigious panel of content, creative, digital, web tech, marketing, media and advertising experts, and winners are selected in 15 categories across three divisions. Recently, the Sheridan Sun received a nomination in the category for Best Article or Series – Academic. A group of 2nd-year students from the Journalism program’s Online News Production Course won Gold in the category of Best Interactive Story for their interactive project, What U Don’t See.
