President’s Executive Council has approved a decision-making tool entitled “Guidelines for Pursuits with External Collaborators” which is intended to support Leaders across Sheridan when deciding whether to participate in collaborative opportunities, fundraising, gifts, donations, research agreements, and/or other general pursuits (“Pursuits”) by and/or with external organizations, persons, and entities (“Collaborators”).
These Guidelines are not intended to alter or supersede any Sheridan policy or collective agreement. They are intended to promote consistent and informed decision making processes at Sheridan by taking into consideration how Pursuits with Collaborators may affect Sheridan’s reputation, resources, and/or academic goals as an institution.
These Guidelines are also not intended to infringe upon Academic Freedom as defined in Sheridan’s Academic Freedom Policy.
