After 31 years, Paul Khangura is taking the Freedom 55 route to early retirement. He will be hanging up his Sheridan College hat and heading for greener pastures in Middlesex County!
Paul started his career at Sheridan in the fall of 1986 as a part-time technical resource, and became full-time in the summer of 1987 to work in the post-graduate diploma program called Courseware Design and Production. Paul has been working in the IT department since its inception and currently holds the position of Senior Business Analyst/Coordinator. In his capacity as part-time faculty, he had also designed course curriculum and coordinated/taught several computer technology courses for over 20 years at several of Sheridan’s schools. During his long career at Sheridan, Paul has served five different terms on the Board of Governors spanning close to 15 years. During this time, he had the honour and the privilege to sit on the selection committees that hired three previous Sheridan presidents. Paul was also elected to serve two terms (1997-2002) on the Board of Directors for the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC), a national organization, representing the staff constituency for Ontario’s 24 colleges. He is also the current 1st VP of Local 245, a position he has held for several terms.
Paul’s last day will be Friday, June 29, 2018. More details will follow as to how we will celebrate Paul’s many years of dedication to Sheridan.
