Elections are required for fourteen faculty Senator positions which will become vacant as members’ terms end with the conclusion of this Senate year. The election period for the Sheridan Senate will be March 26, 2018 to April 24, 2018. Each constituency will have the opportunity to elect their representatives to Senate for a three-year term: September 1, 2018 to June 20, 2021. Voting will be conducted electronically and will be available to eligible* constituent members from Friday, April 20, 2018 to Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Elections will also take place for 10 student Senator one-year term positions elected annually.

Call for Nominations
Each individual seeking nomination will be required to submit a nomination form completed and signed by two nominators from the individual’s constituency. Each nomination must be accompanied by a nominee statement/campaign message to be used for election information purposes and be posted on the Senate Site, the Senate SharePoint Site and on the election voting pages. The statement must be submitted prior to the close of the nomination period either a) submitted with the nomination form or b) submitted from a Sheridan staff email address to the CRO at senate@sheridancollege.ca .
The statement must be 250 words or less in length. If the statement contains more than 250 words, only the first 250 words will be printed. The statement may not be altered or amended after the close of the Nomination period.
