Dear Sheridan Community,
Sheridan Facilities Services – Projects wishes to advise that the HMC B-Wing B190 Bicycle Room is unavailable due to the construction of the new HMC Student and Athletics Expansion. The new building will connect with the existing B-Wing at this location. The extent of the work performed in this area includes: removal of the current exterior entrance into the Bike Room; connecting the new building to the existing building; and installation of a new Bike Room entrance south of the existing entrance. Effective immediately, the Bike Room will be offline and unavailable for use for the duration of the construction of the Student and Athletics Expansion. Expect to see the Bicycle Room available for use in Summer 2019.
In the interim, please utilize the outdoor bicycle loop racks located around both A-Wing and B-Wing. Please see the map.
All affected areas will be hoarded off and signage will be posted. Representatives from Sheridan’s Occupational Health and Safety team are apprised of the work and are helping to ensure that it proceeds in a safe manner. Please see the attached map of the work area within the building.
As with all construction projects, there may be noise and temporary inconveniences at times. In order to complete the work effectively and in a safe manner, some pedestrian restrictions will be necessary, including corridor closures and restrictions during the specified period above.
Facilities Services will make every effort to minimize noise and dust in the surrounding area.
