If you are in an Admin area and are expecting new hardware, you can also expect that machine to be upgraded to Windows 10 and improved productivity from:
1. Much faster login times;
2. Easy to find Sheridan shortcuts for SLATE, Access Sheridan and Service Desk’s Chat Utility;
3. Improved desktop experience and start menu;
4. Under the hood improvements for better performance; and,
5. Enhanced search functionality using Cortana, Microsoft’s answer to Apple’s Siri.
IT Services has been rolling out the Windows 10 operating system across Sheridan College for students, in teaching and learning spaces and upon request for faculty and staff for supported hardware over the past two years. And so far, the feedback has been awesome!
