Sheridan’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Alexa Abiscott, has been nominated for the honour of Canadian Lawyer Magazine’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers!
As per Canadian Lawyer, the list of nominees was created through an internal editorial panel as well as suggestions from readers and past honourees. The results of the poll will form part of the final decision-making process that will be undertaken by the magazine’s editorial team. Results will be announced in the August 2018 issue of the magazine.
Alexa’s nomination highlights her work as Executive Lead for the General Counsel chapter of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario, and her role as co-founder of Women General Counsel Canada. Her nomination is also a tremendous honour for Sheridan, as it recognizes her important work as Sheridan’s first General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
To vote for Alexa, head to Canadian Lawyer’s voting website. Alexa’s nomination can be found in the Changemakers category – the second section of the survey. This category includes lawyers and judges who have been leaders, innovators or catalysts for positive change in any area of the profession such as diversity, legal technology, law firm and practice management, education, access to justice, etc.
Congratulations, Alexa!
