In light of the construction of the new Student and Athletics Expansion taking place at HMC along Rathburn Rd, we’d like to remind you of a few pedestrian safety precautions when making your way around campus.
Please use only the designated paths and sidewalks to and from the theatre lot as indicated in the diagram above. Please be aware of the construction activities that are taking place in this area. Do not enter any construction areas. It is recommended that staff use designated walkways highlighted in GREEN in the diagram above. Please avoid using pathways highlighted in RED as construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the worksite. HMC can be accessed using entrances denoted by a yellow star (*).
In addition, please keep in mind the following:
1) Only take the designated paths and sidewalks. Avoid taking any short cuts.
2) Cross Rathburn Road West and Living Arts Drive only at controlled intersections (i.e. traffic lights). Before crossing intersections ensure vehicles have stopped and you make eye contact with drivers. You may need to to press the walk button at every intersection to activate pedestrian traffic lights.
3) Avoid taking the narrow path on the west side of Living Arts Drive.
Thank you for keeping these important safety tips in mind. If you have any questions or concerns about the construction, please contact constructionfeedback@sheridancollege.ca.
