We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Meredith to the position of Manager, Student Advisement within Student Affairs.
Christina joins us from Georgian College, where she is currently the Manager of Accessibility and Academic Success Services. A Student Affairs educator with over 15 years in the College sector, she brings experience in the areas of learning strategies, counselling, library services, and student leadership, as well as new student transition and success.
Most recently, Christina led the Georgian team that created a new Student Advising Model, which was grounded in principles of proactive, inclusive and developmental advising approaches to student engagement, persistence and success. She also has a proven track record of partnership with academic areas to enhance student engagement and retention.
Christina holds an MSW in Advanced Critical Social Work Practice from the University of Victoria, an MA in Sociology from York University, and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Justice Education at the University of Toronto.
She will start her new role on September 10. Please join us in welcoming her to the Sheridan team.
