Transit Referendum Coming Soon

The Sheridan Shuttle bus service that currently runs between all three campuses is a shared service between Sheridan College and The Sheridan Student Union.

As of September 1, 2019, the Sheridan Shuttle will no longer operate as it currently does due to funding changes. With that, our goal as a Student Union is to find an affordable and enhanced solution to retain or replace the shuttle for Sheridan students. In order to determine what the student population wants, a Transit Referendum will be held by Sheridan Student Union during the last week of November.

One option is a student-funded ‘Universal Transit Pass’ (or ‘U-Pass’) for eligible full-time students that would provide eligible students with transit between all three Sheridan College campuses and full access to public transit routes served by Brampton Transit, Mississauga Transit, and Oakville Transit. Students will also be given the option to support the full cost of the Shuttle Bus Service if the current service is deemed satisfactory by the student population.

Voting for student transportation options will take place online during the week of November 26 – 30, 2018.

We encourage you to stay updated about the Transit Referendum and send us your feedback. More information will be shared in the coming weeks. You can add the referendum to your calendar, ask questions and submit feedback at https://www.thessu.ca/referendum.
