“Take Our Kids to Work Day” is an annual, nationwide program that helps Grade 9 students understand the importance of staying in school.
The day is meant to be an experiential learning opportunity where students can spend the day at the workplace of a parent, relative or friend. Through Take Our Kids to Work Day, students are able to witness the world of work firsthand, prompting early career planning, and enabling students to make informed decisions pertaining to their future goals and endeavours. By participating in Take Our Kids to Work Day, students are able to learn about a variety of careers, industries, and sectors.
Sheridan is proud to be involved in an exciting career exploration activity for our employees’ Grade 9 children. In the spirit of providing an environment that encourages and stimulates creativity and learning, the Centre for People & Organizational Development, in partnership with Student Affairs and the Office of the Registrar, is pleased to announce the development of a structured half-day program for Take Our Kids to Work Day on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Trafalgar Campus.
If you are an employee with a child in Grade 9 and wish to register them for this half-day program, please complete this survey by October 22.
